Shit, he may have no chin, but Gamboa certainly does have skills
Rameriez looked like a puffer fish down there,Gamboa does fight really dumb though. He is NO MAIN EVENT FIGHTER and has ALOT of work to do
Stupid kid should have clinched and gotten his bearings back. F#ck!!!![]()
Marcos Ramirez vs Yuriorkis Gamboa
Round 2 = Gamboa starts out fast but not landing anything, right hand over the top from Ramirez but a glancing blow. Left hook to the body from Gamboa, and another followed by A FLURRY OF PUNCHES RIGHT DOWN THE PIPE FROM GAMBOA AND RAMIREZ GOES DOWN, HE TOOK THE FULL 8 COUNT HE IS FOR CERTAIN HURT, RIGHT HOOKS, LEFT HOOKS, UPPERCUTS, STRAIGHT RIGHT HANDS. BASICALLY A FLURRY OF PUNCHES FROM ALL ANGLES FROM GAMBOA, STRAIGHT PUNCHES FROM GAMBOA A FLURRY OF THEM, UPPERCUT FROM GAMBOA ON THE INSIDE AND RAMIREZ GOES DOWN AGAIN, AND HE IS COUNTED OUT GAMBOA WINS A WILD SLUGFEST
WOW this dude is freakin fast.lol
good future i guess
mind over speed and power
Nice uppercut, Ramirez was just wide open , but he actually caught Gamboa a few times.
Great card, all three very entertaining fights.
Gamboa is nothing if not exciting.
Him and Khan would make for a great fight, I believe they expect Gamboa to be a lightweight within a year or so
Jeez i couldn't keep up with that, what a short wild fight that was.
Ramirez is going ot have nightmares over this one.
Oh well, tick tock tick tock; it won't be long till Gamboa gets sparked out.
Gamboa is too wild and not technical enough in his approach, plus he has a suspect chin. Abner Mares and Roman Gonzalez are the new stars not Gamboa, until he improves technically and defensively.
you can't seriously say Gamboa isn't a star. With his amatuer pedigree and scintillating fight style he will be a much bigger draw than both Mares and Gonzalez.
Yes he's vulnurable, and yes he could well get sparked soon but his speed, power and all action style will mean he's a ppv draw a couple years from now.
The kid is a star in the making whether he loses on the way or up not.
I think his over confidence may be his downfall,he is explosive and powerful but way to young in over reliance on power and not honing all around skills with these showcase fights that he'll need when some do not crumble in front of him.Should be fun
I want to see James Kirkland/Sergio Martinez. Don't know who I'd root for![]()
