    Thanks Scrap.

Yea, I understand this. Like I say, it certainly wasn't the game plan. But was no way in hell I was going to miss this opportunity. It was everything I have and do work for. Now I am being moved up to Open Class through the boxing commission early after them seeing me fight...so hopefully now I will have less problems with it. Not this weekend, but next...I have a fight scheduled against a 165 lb'er. Then after that...on the 30th...I will again compete, but this time for the Open Provincial Championship. I now am the Novice Champ. Then after that...in the New Year, are the Nationals. Also we are having our club show on November 22 weekend. So where I once couldn't get a fight, now I am getting lots of opportunity...but yea...cutting weight was unfortunateloy a part of it.

Don't mean to criticise, but that was a dodge move by your coach, putting you in a sauna the morning of the fight.

The first fluids a sauna removes from the body are those in the cranium.
Thats why a sauna always helps in "clearing your head." They're easily replaced, but maybe not on the day of a fight.

Do you have any references for this donny? I've been looking up information and don't see a lot regarding 'loss of cranium fluid' related to sauna use. Also though, are you referring to sinus mucous and such when referencing the clearing of the head feeling? I have found some medical notes in regards to intercranial CFS reduction, but not so much as to make it alarming unless one might be practicing weight loss long term.

Here`s an interesting link below related, although not referencing intercranial CFS loss per se, to many facets in regards to sports and hydration and dehydration.

There is alot of info. in there. It is particularly good I found in exploring how it pertains to distance running hydration.
