Im re-thinking this one but how about Frankie Randall.So sporadic,but when he was on......mainly on that night he honed ALL his skills and boxed his arse off Vs. JCC in the first fight.What a gameplan and looked IMO,absolutly great.Turmoil,some created by his demons, vices and lack of focus would not see him preform at that top notch level again.On that night,He lived up to his nickname,The surgeon.

You could argue that he had two great nights against Ali and Foreman although I had not watched either fight.

He never had a great night against Muhammad Ali both men didn't fight too well, especially Muhammad Ali who was very out of shape at 230+ pounds. But Young deserved the nod against Ali though no question IMO.Jimmy Young one good Fighter, make no mistake.
You could argue that he had two great nights against Ali and Foreman although I had not watched either fight.
But Jimmy Young fought a great fight against George Foreman no question, he got badly hurt in the 7th round and comeback to floor Foreman in the last round.
