That one was supposed to be a huge hometown showdown, solid match up.Tapia really put on a clinic, kept Romero's vaunted power in check and had a real good showing.I think Romero's upset loss to W.Salazar prior took a little luster off of Romero, was busted up bad but power was solid.

Tom 'the bomb' Bethea whose only claim to fame was a shock win over Nino Benvenuti shortly before he fought Monzon.
Billy Backus (Billy who?) wins over the great Jose Napoles on cuts and then loses rematch quickly and fades into obscurity.
Buster Douglas, nothing needs to be said here except as we all know he probably heads the list of greatest upsets in boxing history.
Vilomar Fernandez wins against the great Alexis Arguello....WTF?
Vince Phillips beats Kostya Tszyu and was no more than a journeyman throughout his career, this win being his only claim to fame.
Ingemar Johannson Ko's Floyd Patterson once and that's all there is!
