Vitali is sucessful because hes a big, strong heavyweight who does know how to keep his opponents at bay, he does deserve credit for that. But put him in with a guy like Valuev or his brother Wlad, he will look very ordinary. As far as Peter goes, he just lacks skill and basic fundements. Physically, he is tough, but he is mentally weak mostly because he doesnt have enough tools in his aresenal and he becomes frusterated.
Last nights fight was really no different than any other heavyweight title fight in the last 10 years or so. We didnt learn anything we didnt already know, and the division is still searching for the next superstar.
Vitali has done those things his ENTIRE CAREER...as soon as someone stops him from doing what he does then I'll let you know. 36 wins 35 stoppages....that's pretty fucking impressive for a robotic fighter that telegraphs his punches

Sam Peter is a good fighter, good power, but he is a limited boxer and I told everyone that waaaaaaay long ago. His power was extremely effective vs the less experienced doormats of the division but vs the top level guys he has fought he doesn't have the skills to beat them unless he gets lucky. I told you SAM PETER = DAVID IZON
No doubt Vitali has done well for himself, but he hasnt fought someone that can match his size and stregnth to capitalize on his mistakes. Lennox was the only guy ive seen able to do that. ..I agree Sam Peter is a lot like Izon...hes lucky to have got as far as he has imo. The early hype definately helped.
