Lets think of it like this...
Lewis doesnt have anything more to prove
IF, Lewis did come back which I dont think he will, he will not be anywhwere near as good as he use to be with inactivity and him not training anymore like he use to. We are kidding ourseleves if we ever believe that Lewis will be anything more than the standard issue heavyweight thats around now.
Lewis doesnt need anymore money, hes got enough and its not even worth the risk of his life in the ring IMO.
Vitali from what I have heard wasnt anything like his former self, the fight will be so hyped that when it does happen it will be nothing what anybody actually expected. Its just simple knowledge that both men are not like they were in their 'younger' days.
In saying that both men werent at their youngest so I just dont see the point in this fight really.
I will be a lot more interested in Vitali-Haye to be honest.

I think Vitali gets to much credit for his fight with Lennox yes he was 2 points up at the finish but he was cut real bad he needed 100 stitches the fight was stopped fair and square. He was starting to get caught with big punches especially uppercuts at one point he is holding Lennox virtually alway round ring. See Lennox should get some good credit for this he was training to fight Kirk Johnson who is about 6ft 2 inch then at a weeks notice Kirk pulls out with a chest injury and Lennox decides to fight Vitali a very dangerous 6ft 8inch number 1 contender to the WBC title. Vitali was fully fit as he was going to fight on the undercard at the end of the fight Vitali was 2 points up but his face was a mess he had been starting to get hurt and holding more regular as i think Vitali's legacy is built around the fact he was 2 points up vs Lennox Lewis but no matter how you look at it he was stopped by Lennox in only 6 rounds because his face was a mess 100 stitches and plastic surgery says it all.
Hey buddy so Lennox was training to fight Kirk Johnson, Vitali had trained to fight CEDRIC BOSWELL!
Lennox got lucky that's all there was to it....an awkward punch caught Vitali wrong and ripped his eye up.
The point of the matter is that it was an awesome fucking fight big old Lennox and Vitali standing toe to toe and beating the crap out of each other...it was exactly what the division needed.

Theres nothing lucky about it . If anything Vitali was lucky the ref never let him continue. Was Tyson "lucky" to catch Spinks . Was Mayweather "lucky " against Gatti ? No the better fighters won .
Vitali wasnt good enough that night to beat a washed up overweight Old Lewis and thats a fact . He wasnt even good enough to last 6 rounds.
