Vitali has never been knocked down or out and I don't think it was going to happen that night. It's too bad Hasim Rahman didn't take his win and retire after he knocked Lewis out denying him a rematch after all he did knock his ass out, it was not a win left in a shroud of doubt.

You can't really tell to me it looked like Vitali Klitschko didn't have much left in the tank. After that big uppercut from Lennox Lewis in the 6th round, and Vitali Klitschko was holding on for dear life at the end of the round.

All i know is that if the fight would of gone on, Vitali Klitschko risked being blinded in one eye. Do you really think it was worth the risk ? because i certainly don't, and lets remember all the stitches and all the surgery. Vitali Klitschko had to have to repair his eye, its not like it was an everyday cut you see in boxing it was a serious injury.

I like Vitali Klitschko because he is willing to make fights exciting, unlike his brother who i don't like at all. I actually wish Vitali Klitschko would have stayed in boxing and Wladimir Klitschko would have retired.

But regarding Lennox Lewis vs Vitali Klitschko 2, i really don't know what Lennox Lewis thought about the rematch. But neither do you but i've always thought Lennox Lewis is a pretty smart guy, he realized he was almost 40 and starting to lose his best attributes. So he retired on top which i would of done aswell in his position.

But no way was he scared of Vitali Klitschko, lets remember who Lennox Lewis did fight in his prime. He never ducked anyone and was always willing to the fight best, i would have liked to have seen the rematch. But i understand why Lennox Lewis retired and i think it was a smart move, because many boxers don't know when to retire and end up being punch drunk or etc.

I respect your response it was well said.I just feel had there not been a cut the fight would have turned out alot different as would the rematch.
