That possibility is now virtually eliminated. Jesus that is scary.

Yeah I also had one crawl up my face Yvonne, was mowing the lawn and between two giant redwoods I ran into a web a tree spider made, it was like the size of a tarantula and it ended up on my shoulder and up and across my face over my head, over my ear and then off my shoulder onto the backrest and off the side of the mower. I got my first peak of it when it was on the mower though I felt it before, it was the scariest thing of all time. I'm so thankful I didn't see it actually on my face or before it got on my face or I might have died. I had an undiagnosed heart problem at the time, I might have actually died, like really. Haha, scariest things of all time I HATE spiders.

California isn't so bad. The house by the lake is the worst because at night we get fucking huge ones and they used to make webs right by the front door with bacs the size of coins, it was awful. Everytime I would go outside I would duck and run and wear something on my head I can't handle it. The tree spider that crawled on my face was the biggest spider I've ever seen in the wild, and it crawled on my face. Those live in the trees though and my grandpa said it was very odd that one would be so low to the ground like it was because usally they are at least 10 feet up. I've seen one since but it was at least 15 feet up and I was just clearing the brush below it but I kept an eye on it and probably moved 10 times slower. Um, what else. Oh yeah, the other spiders we get here in Northern California or at least at my grandpa's house are wolf spiders which are really scary looking but they run away anytime they see you. I once ran into one in the shower, was scary. They are soooo fast but they don't run towards you they run away. So long as I can read their body language I am ok, the ones that don't move no matter how close you get to it scare the shit out of me. Wolf spiders can get pretty big but are nowhere near as scary as that thing you have. I've been less scared of a bigass rattle snake who's head I couldn't even see that was between my legs then I am of some spiders smaller then thumb.

Yeah I saw this today as well. Rather annoyingly all the species they mentioned were found where I fucking live in Devon. One had built a colony in Plymouth supposedely which is about 25 miles away from my house.

Any of them fuckers come in my flat they are getting stomped.

Ah who am I kidding if any make it to my flat it will be me who flees into the street and gives up my home without a fight

One of the things Ive always loved about the UK is its relative safety. Of course, Im talking about the wildlife here. A complete lack of dangerous creatures. You are unlikely to find a snake in your bathroom, or a tiger sleeping in your bed. That kind of freedom is refreshing.

It seems to be changing now then. Dangerous spiders will be the next big thing! I hate spiders too, all those legs. You never really know what they are thinking either.

Spiders are our friends, they eat bugs, like fly, roaches, silverfish and so much more.. Besides that why they invented the Telephone Book. Makes a great paper weight to smash them suckers with at 2 in the morning.
