Default who else thinks gatti would kayo hatton after seeing collazo fight?

it would seemingly e an easy fight for arturo (even easier than baldomir) ----its a fight where gatti has the much better boxing skills and can use his jab, right hnad over the top and then crack the left hand to the body......under mcgirt gatti has been committed to the jab and good strong body work--it should be enough to slow ricky down and finish him in the middle of the fight..

    any thoughts?

I think Hatton would pummel Gatti's body and stop him mid-late.

errr no. anyone who had seen the hatton collazo fight and no other hatton fights may think so. but anyone who knows anything about gatti and hatton should dissagree. and the better boxing skill statement is bollocks aswell. i see hatton stoping gatti in the late rounds after wearing him down with too much pressure.

have you ever watched Hatton before that fight?
Theres is no way in hell Gatti would beat Hatton. In fact i would bet alot of money if the odds were decent
There is no doubt that Gatti is entertaining and a fan favourite but he simply has no defence. He stops punches with his face.
hatton is undefeated for a reason and he wouldnt lose Micky Ward or get exposed so easily against PBF.
He would suit Hatton down to the ground, a come forward brawler

Your obviously a hatton hater comign out with a statment like that. Anyone who followed both careers would know Hatton would win easily.

...the collazo fight was just one fight out of many for Hatton. Whatever his reasons wer for not fulfilling his potential are his problem. based on all the evidence before this fight, Hatton would have a brilliant chance against Gatti, n judging by the hammering Gatti received from Mayweather, i think u shud be questionin how he would fare against Hatton tbh. Hatton and Gatti alike haven't had the best of things lately, besides Gatti fights completely different to Collazo.

Gatti used to fight at 130 and 135 didn't he? I think as far as P4P goes Hatton would rough Gatti up, and the fact he hasn't been at welterweight his whole life means he won't be so big that his body punches are ineffective like they were against Collazo.

Look Hatton is WIDE open. A fight with Hatton v Gatti/Mayorga would be very entertaining.

I really cannot follow your logic in Collazo------>Gatti, but Gatti struggled against Thomas Damgaard (the garden gnome) and I would think that Hatton would stop Gatti mid rounds.

I would have to disagree with you on the defense statement Ricky Hatton is a very awkward off balance fighter sure he brings the pressure this fight will be a war NO DOUBT!!!!!Since Buddy has been training Arturo he has really revamped his career he has showed alot of improvement he good boxing skills that are often overlooked by his ability to brawl..Its not fair to compare the old Gatti to thecurrent one....PBF gave him a royal beatdown no doubt it wuz a bad matchup for Gatti...Floyd is the best and outclasses and punishes most

Hatton relies on his ability to punch and then get in the opponents chest right afterward to take away his opponents chance to counter punch. The problem is that Gatti does have good power at 147, Hatton's style is going to get him caught sooner or later right on the chin. But while I think Hatton is a little over his head at 147, I think that his body work will wear down Gatti towards the end. Gatti isn't the best conditioner boxer, so Hatton will wear him down and maybe score a body shot KO in the 11th.

i actually think it would be a tough fight for either fighter, and either one could win, Hatton would have the edge at 140, while Gatti would be able to move Hatton around at 147, Gatti has IMO better speed, power, and skill, but Hatton's defence, chin, and stamina is better, well defence at 140 anyway it sucked against Collazo, the Damgaard fight, apparently you all forgot Gatti was fight primarily with one hand, and with only one hand he was still able basically to shut him out and KO him with only that one hand, both swell and cut up pretty easy so the guess on who would get the TKO is just a toss up, Hatton can and will be outboxed in the future, and it most likely will be as bad and devastating as Gatti/Mayweather was, or if you want it to be more styilistic, it's gonna look a lot like Calzaghe/Lacy. Hatton is good, but the Collazo fight was no fluke, it showed that he can be out worked and outboxed, although i felt that cause of the knockdown Ricky pulled out the win, but just barely

No way!!! Hatton will stop Gatti late on and it could be a mini war, but Gatti doesn't have the tools. There is no way that Hatton will look as good as PBF, but thats just down to different fighters different styles.
