Had one of the most under-rated shots ever.

His left hook to the liver.

that was great. that makes me a bigger hearns fan. that man was wild in the ring, and that liver shot was AWESOME. he should have won that rematch with leonard.

I see for myself what made him such a dangerous puncher. A couple times it looked like the other guy was too far away to get caught and that was when he hit guys the hardest. It's like he had a fist on top of a fist. Hagler seemed to have the best plan; looking for him to shoot the right and then stepping out of the way and then just getting inside and plowing through him. I haven't seen a lot of Hearns; he was before my time. But prime Hearns would absolutely smash his son. I hope Ronald can become that kind of fighter.

That video reminds me why I laughed out loud when somone on nhere tried to claim Paul Williams is a stronger, better more modern version og Thomas Hearns.....

The Welterweights today (Including my man Tony) would not know what to do if they got into it with a prime hearns

Even if Margarito could withstand the power the ref and everyone in Antonio's corner would be screaming for this fight to be stopped from what was happening to his face.

That's bullshit, Thomas Hearns was a great fighter, but Margarito walks through what Hearns dishes out and KO's him late especially in a 15 round fights. Hearns hits harder then Cintron, but not by that much even Emanuel said that, and Margarito walked right through Cintron's punches. If he fought Hearns, at first Hearns would pick him apart, but Hearns didn't have the stamina to keep away from Margarito all night.

People only see the strong points of the old time fighters, but Leonard was able to handle Hearns' power, SAme with Benitez, Same wtih Hayman, Ronnie Shield(stopped on cuts in the 13th I believe) and Colbert who are virtual nobodies. Thomas Hearns was perhaps the hardest guy to outbox p4p ever, but if you are a very excellent pressure fighter, with a chin of concrete you are his biggest nightmare, Magarito wouldn't be as tall, but he would be as big and strong as Hearns, he has enough power to hurt Hearns, he has the workrate and pressure to tire Hearns, and the chin to take anything. Its like James Toney or Tua or Wayne McCullough, some guys you just can't hurt.

Go me, defending the pressure fighter, however Leonard would box circles around Margarito on that note, and Duran would get into his grill and win on the inside like he did against so many other fighters.

THIS MAY EXPLAIN TO OTHERS WHY TOMMY HEARNS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE FIGHTER

Hearns is fearsome, I would be scared and intimidated just seeing him across the ring, even more than Tyson. Thoes eyes mean business. He could have won all his fights behind that jab but he wanted to excite and had a devastating right hand and an underrated left. This is what makes me rate SRL as an ATG to beat a man of Hearns calibre at his best, only think SRR could have beaten Hearns.

Margarito has a chin but to think he could walk through Hearns shots is quite frankly laughable. Duran took the best Barkley and Hagler could offer but Hearns obliterated him with the right hand.

Hearns right hand is 3x Cottos best.

People are aware that Taeth is many things...... schizo, gay-off winner, and sudden admirer of Manny Steward, as well as Pavlik-fan lover.
