He definitely seems to have a lot of speed and numerous combos, but only time will tell. I like watching his fights, he is exciting most of the time.

He definitely is a good fighter, but I don't know about top 15 p4p let alone number 1. He still hasn't beaten a legitimate opponent who isn't over 35 that would be considered a really boost for his p4p ranking, and after Bernard's performance I am not so sure anymore that Dawson would be able to beat him. I think Bernard negates speed exceptionally well, and his right hand would easily land on Dawson.

He's done everything asked of him so far and he certainly has skills.
He obviously needs a win over Hopkins or Joe to get top 10 status.
Interestingly if he was fighting either I actually think he'd start the betting favourite against both. He's definitely the danger man at 175.
It would be interesting to see how his body work would do against Hopkins or Calzaghe, their ability to make opponent fight their fight has led to them not really having good body work being on them in quite some time, and Dawson really goes down there well, and has the speed to do it from the outside and not get caught.
Dawson wasn't ready for either BHop or Joe C before the Glen Johnson fight.
Take that experience and combine it with the confidence gained by dominating Tarver, and you've got a supremely talented fighter that is getting better and better.
His focus against Tarver was the best I've seen (in him). He really seems to have matured and his defense is a lot better.
He would beat Glen Johnson a lot easier the next time.
BHop and Joe C would both lose to Chad.
I still say Berto is better then Dawson, faster, harder to hit, better combinations, better puncher. If only he did body work to open up the head more...

Dawson is a very good fighter. He's not the best PFP fighter in the world though. Just Floyd being Floyd...
