I guess you could make an argument that having Naseem Richardson back in his corner and organising a gameplan was a big help to Hopkins but even then at 43 I really don't think a trainer can a win or lose a fight for Bernard.

Calzaghe simply coped better with Hopkins style than Kelly did.
Once again. I'm not saying he trained any less or any harder for the 2 fights - although that's very possible too. Nasims training regimen is different than Freddie Roaches - keep that in mind. All i'm saying is, it's obvious what night he was better conditioned.

The man fought at a slow pace against calzaghe with tons of breaks from low blows and clinches and was gassed. But last night he fought at an incredible pace and never got tired. You figure it out... call it drugs or something, but it's obvious he was better conditioned.

Calzaghe landed more than twice as many punches as Pavlik did against Hopkins, I'm sure that had something to do with his stamina.

Calzaghe forced the pace against Bernard, made him work and tired him out.

If you really think that at age 43 Hopkins has somehow found a way to reverse the ageing process and add some more bounce and stamina to his legs than in his previous fights then you're probably the kind of guy who would buy 'big dick' pills from the back of Hustler.

I think Hopkins looked great last night, but it was a combination of Pavlik being flat and fighting the worst fight of his career, and also Pavlik not being able to adapt to Hopkins style.

Calzaghe adapted and honestly I think if they fought again he'd beat Bernard easier next time, although it would still be a competitive fight as nobody has an easy night with B Hop
