No big deal, he is a bit concussed. He did not give an interview on Top Rank so was interested in what he said. He is a poor technical boxer who trains and hits hard.

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Takes time to get over a lose like that still young we while see. I like Pavlik but man does he have some work to do i feel Pavlik whiel come back better then Cotto who i think is done but could be wrong about it. I think Pavlik can still run on and be teh man at mw as for Cotto think he may turn out like Vargas but lets see how it goes on the comeback fights.
Thank you master i know my spelling is not that great most of it is because i have large hands tend to hit to many keys at once. Reason why you read some of my stuff and find radom letters in it. I cant get the spell check to work so i can not find my mistakes but do your best i wish i coudl just record my voice and would get my point alot better lol.
I gotta say that he really didn't look right in there. I rewatched the Miranda and 1st Taylor fights yesterday and that just wasn't the same guy in there. And it's not just because of the shots he was taking, Taylor was hitting him with great shots but he just kept coming forward and throwing shots. It was a strange performance.
I also thought he wasn't himself. Even if he wasn't landing anything solid, Pavlik would usually just throw. He wasn't landing anything on Taylor during their second fight but he just kept throwing. I'm assuming Hopkins' shots were hurting Pavlik and he was just trying to be cautious.
You're watching the wrong fights imo lol.
Both JT and Miranda toss the same type of punches and both have teh same flaw of dropping their guard low, standing in the pocket, on the ropes, or in a corner. They let Kelly plant their feet.
Notice how god awful kelly looked in the rematch with JT in comparision to his first fight? Not just because it was at 160, but because Taylor fought a more technical fight, just without the lateral movement.
Pavlik can't handle slick stuff.
As for the guy who said Pavlik wasn't discrediting hopkins.
He clearly says hopkins can't be that slick, he lost to taylor twice, a guy that he beat twice.. and lost to Calzaghe.. and that they were hitting him at will.. so he must not be that crafty.
That's an insult IMO, and and even bigger insult in himself for thinking that he could be Hopkins just because he had lost to Taylor.
I haven't seen this fight yet.....but, it's not unusual for a fighter to be disappointed with their own performance. It sounds like both guys had unusual nights. Bhop is a great but hasn't looked good in very many of his recent fights.
Pavlik can be understandably dismayed that it wasn't the Bhop that fought Taylor in the ring. And I think most would agree that if Bhop threw 7-10 punches a round and stood around and posed like he did against J.T. he would have lost.
I don't think Pavlik was bitching about Bhop. More like he was bitching about himself. He performed badly and knew it. It's harder to accept a loss when you know you weren't at your best.
Bitching is when you are satisfied with your own performance but think the judges gave you a bum decision or someone else prevented you from winning. I didn't hear that in the clip. Sounded like someone saying "I got my ass whooped, when I shouldn't have". He felt like he should have won or at least had a close fight.
He was at his best. Said he felt perfectly fine going in, inbetween rounds, everything.
Says there is a mysterious ghost that tied his hands down after the bell and he couldn't move his arms to punch though.
It's an excuse. He's never been in the ring with a fighter who can pick him apart and take away all his tools before - the only logical answer now is " I dont know what happened. I felt perfectly fine, i just couldn't punch or throw a punch".
Thats the lack of experience talking.
See,I thought the opposite in a way,Those are different styles and as the mantra goes, especially after this one it seems....Styles make fights.Could very well be Kelly was fine and Hopkins was "not the same" or different opposed to his recent pedestrian outings....He initiated the offense,Multiple combinations, brought the missing left hook off the jab, etc. It's all about Cause & effect when the styles clash. The reason he could not implement his game plan was that Hopkins had more and was faster at implementing his.
I think Kelly needs some time,Don't rush back into some huge mega fight for the spotlight and end up another also ran.He has to find some gears and this one can be a physiological load to bare.
