I say as an American you should be able to own whatever gun you want...if you're a felon then you can't own a gun if the law is enforced it works.
ak47s are from the 60s and prior, and they were mass produced and distributed all over the world to countries that supported the soviet government, they were for the most part not given any serial numbers, thats why they arent trackable
