I think he'd give Murray problems and beat him but Thaxton can bang and does (like you said) seem to be getting better.
Thing is Amir himself is piling the pressure on ITV/Warren to make these fights and i bet they love him for it

Murray would walk through anything kahn had to offer imo, Murray is a stronger bigger quicker younger version of Gomez, Murray 7th round tko.

I have not seen him against anyone with decent power,do these have 2 have power? Khan is quite open at times and bumrushes an opponent,does not set up the combos with the jab enough. Good bodyshots though!
