Key phrase is if he still wants to do it,we'll see what he wants to do when he gets back online. He'd be the boxer so its his call.
i'm not going to speak for him, but i wouldn't fight a pro that had that many fights.. there is still a learning curve in boxing, regardless of how natural it is to fight, and to step in with someone of that experience is just silly..

i want to fight one of these hillbilly characters who talk shit all day.. make youtube videos thinking they're real talented and stuff.. if i were to fight a legit pro, then it wouldn't be til after training for at least a year or two, and still i'd have a lot to think about.. these hillbilly guys, go in there and wave their hands, gassed after a round, i just want to shut them up.. and i THINK that that was JT's intention.. but again, i'll let him say what he has to say..
JT sounded pretty confident, and if I really thought it wasnt close I wouldnt even train him for it. I think he can do it, its a matter of,does he still want to.
If he wants not to do it,thats cool with me to, its his call,he's the one in the ring

You thinking of training him up to fight someone in particular Tm?

I have missed allot in here lately I seriously dont know the story; usually I dont read these posts but got directed here.

To be honest I feel embarressed for the name of Saddos by most of the posts made by these fellows from around the tail end of the sport and wish they were all back over at East side instead of here yelling at each other for no other reason than to expose their ego and the power it has over them all.

Take it back to the toughman contests where it belongs, I suggest. All of it.

There is a reason boxers aren't allowed to fight in the fooking things, and I tend to think the reasons should go the other way also.

Why don't you see a pro boxer fighting in a toughman contest? Because someone is going to get seriously hurt. If you're a betting person, who you gonna put money on? A pro boxer with a legitmate, substaniated record, or the guy who has 12 beer with his friends and on a lark and a laugh decides he is gonna join in to fight on some Saturday night and test his mettle? This fooker is gonna get his head taken off if he runs into a seriously trained professional. The rules are there for a reason.

It pisses me off to no end that people want to skip the process of forming legimate professional boxers and fast tracking ill-equipped, inexperienced fighters to walk into the realm. Moreso though, I fear the potential ramifications of it. There may be some very rare and gifted person who can make it, but I suggest it would be at the expense of many wannabes brains splattered across the canvas in the process.

As much that it pisses me off and worries me seeing what Stacy does, has done, it also pisses me off when I read a training section post with someone like Yusaf Mack giving his time and telling us where he is at in training...and having to read a follow up post suggesting we go check out Hartley and Dumas. Are you Fucking kidding me? Why in the world would I go see anything Hartley or Dumas related to understand what a pro goes through? If I want to see someone gas after 1 round and fight like shit, I can see that at my club just about every day, and usually more entertaining from guys that smoke a pack a day now, who atleast were once boxers, and now get into the ring and spar for fun and somehow still manage to last more then a round. These guys I know, I like them, some are my friends...but they sure as shit are not a measure of professional boxing.

And this isn't a slight against Andrew. I don't mind the guy. I even on some level like his spirit and stubbornness. But he is hardly a measure for anything professional boxing. Other then to point at and laugh. And he does have his place. He's the guy you put your potential up and comer against to assure an early career guaranteed win. But his safety needs to be considered also. How many times knocked out before his eyes close permanantly? "Well let us bring in people with zero experience and training to fight him." is not the answer. it is a disaster waiting to happen for someone.

And I'm just tired of it. Others are too I believe. I hope this has run its course and people are finally ready to move on. For let's face it, and be honest, only reason people watch this stuff is to laugh at. And I feel a bit bad watching those who get sucked into it trying to defend themselves who don't realize this. Even when Stacy says "it's for fun"...it is fairly obvious to see what he really means is...'it's for a laugh'.

"haha", thanks for the laugh. "haha", I like to sometimes watch midget muay thai too. But c'mon, let us not try to pretend it is something more then it is.

Please quit looking for an easy way into the limelight of a sport that requires much dedication, skill and will. Pay your dues like the rest of us, and make it on your hard work and merit. It hurts the sport, and this sport needs help...not hindrances. Not mockery. Earn your way. You cheat your way there, you cheat yourself and the very sport you are trying to represent.

I'm with ya Youngblood. This is the only post I will make in regards to this situation because I will have no part in furthering it.

This whole thing is nothing but a farce of self-righteousness and self-promotion, by all parties involved. A fucking joke is what it is, a fucking joke perpetuated by persons who are involved in it for reasons which defy all logic. It makes this whole forum less by its very presence, but more importantly it makes a mockery of the sport itself, and that should be unacceptable for those who claim to be involved in it in a serious way.

I'm starting to wonder if everyone involved is in cooperation with one another to keep this idiocy going for the sake of their own self-promotion.

Take your viral marketing and shove it up your ass.

Actually not all Toughmans are like that,in some states they replace an amateur scene. In very rural states there just isnt much of an amateur scene, and what ammie scene there is,is focused around one city. So kids fight the Toughman circuit instead. WV is like that, most people invovled at all in WV boxing, which is growing pretty rapidly, couldnt pick out any of the ammie champs in a lineup, but they all know who won the Toughmans. If you want to fight ammie, youve got to drive all the way to Charleston to even get a fight. But a Toughman series will probably be arriving an hour from your house.
Now Rough N Rowdy's down here are absolute chaos. I dont know, I dont go to them. Even though I had a hand in traing a Rough N Rowdy champ, I also have a kid,and the phrase "not a family friendly enviroment" from what Ive heard, would be an understatement.

you should see BoxRec's forum these days.
But yeah Stacy named a name he'd put him in with, and if JT wants to do it,its not a bad name to debut against.
If JT changes his mind,no harm no foul though
