Hindsight is 20/20, Pav was broke down and sorted through by the 3rd round. No post fight excuse need apply.I think Kelly can rebound at 160 but forget Hopkins return

I believe Winky Wright had the flu when he fought Soliman. He won that fight. It was a tough one for him though.

With or without the flu Pavlik get's schooled by Hopkins. I already knew it would happend, people should stop looking for excuses and appreciate the beautiful peformance one of the greatest fighters that has ever step on the ring did that night. Not saying you are looking for excuses but in a way this dictates that.

I felt something was up when I was watching the fight. Pavlik really was a ghost. Just wasnt throwing at all. If Hopkins is throwing more than a high output worker like Pavlik for 9 of the rounds then that alone is saying something. Hopkins fought out of his skin and was superb, but Pavlik was missing a few gears in there.

Still, Pavliks camp went through with the fight and Hopkins didnt just win, he completely dominated. So Ive no excuses.

I think getting hit that cleanly, and missing all your shots takes it out of you. It reminded me of George Foreman against Muhammad Ali. Ali doesn't hit as hard as Frazier, but he was really hurting George off the ropes, and that really took the energy out of George, that and George missing his punches. I just don't think Pavlik could get off because Hopkins didn't allow him. I also think Pavlik just how he reacted after the fight would have used the sickness as an excuse.

I do like that about Pavlik no excuses he didn't piss and moan after the fight and say to Larry I was sick I have bronchitis, and have been on meds. Only 1 reason he stepped through the ropes. 3 million dollars.

Kelly got cronic beat down disease the symptoms are often overlooked before a fight even i didn't notice it. It happens a lot these days. These guys train fight and feel great then after a loss is when it really hits ya. No big deal, it's contagious and kelly will just pass it on to somebody else soon....

By tough you mean Soliman landed like 11% of his punches, and Winky won virtually every round? Hatton was sick against Collazo or Urango

He would have lost anyway, but looking back on it, Pavlik did look under the weather. He might have done a little better, but it was pretty clear Hopkins had him sussed out and Kelly was in for boxing lesson, even at 100%. If he were healthy, it might have been a little more entertaining.

I agree, Pavlik needs to stop moving up in weight to fight these guys, Let them come down to him for Christ Sakes.

If I'm not mistaken, Soliman landed more punches on Winky than anyone in years. Sure it was only 11%, but he threw a lot of punches. Winky didn't get wobbled, but he was marked up.

He landed more than Trinidad did, but not more than MOsley or Taylor or Quartey I don't think. I think Winky being more stationary he takes more damage, but 90% of it is through his gloves ,but even at 160 I think he is a little less cut then when he was younger, and guys with extra weight tend to puff up more.

It couldn't have been that bad otherwise the fight wouldn't have went ahead.
