i would rather see a williams vs winky fight. although i see paul taking a Ud do to his workrate. but when any of these three fight each other it should be a entertaining fight. i think winky could give pavlik more trouble than he could with paul.

Pavlik vs. Wright - Pavlik by a fairly wide decision. Winky is, of course, a great defensive fighter, but he defends with his arms and hands, not slickness which is what would bother Pavlik. He would block a lot of shots, but Pavlik would be busier and he is also good at landing between the gloves, so I see something like 8-4 for Pavlik.
Williams vs. Wright - Williams by UD. He would be too busy for Winky, and although we don't know how sturdy Williams' beard will be at 160, Winky isn't a threat to knockout anyone.
Williams vs. Pavlik - This one I am less sure about. It really depends on what sort of shot Williams can take. He obviously has a sturdy beard at 147, but 160 is a different matter. On the other hand, his awkward southpaw style and high volume could pester Pavlik. It also seems that Paul has learned to sit down on his punches and hit with real pop. I would still slightly favor Pavlik by late TKO, but if it goes to the cards I think Williams takes a UD.

Winky throws 80+ a round, even from his shell.
It's hard to say pavlik outworks him. Winky also only moves foward.
On paper he's tailer made for a fighter like pavlik who throws straight down the center,
but gotta be realistic here.
I'll argue Winky has a higher workate than kelly at 160.

Prior I'd pick Wright to beat Pavlik. He has been standing in a bit much with more emphasis on offence but too many gears for Pavlik down the stretch Imo.
Alot of variables at work here,Williams big splash at Middle is yet to come,I think he will raise eyebrows vs. Respected Verno Phillips at 154 and then venture up in weight for good where his defensive lapses might be an issue.Pav has to re-tool and find him self after being broken and Winky has to get his arse in the ring and stay active....not getting any younger!!

I agree with every word of this post. I think any combination of these 3 fights would be spectacular and also I think it could pave way to Pavlik legitimately being a 3 weight champion. Think about it, he's fighting for his second belt against Phillips in a fight he is sure to win, I would think. If Pavlik then defended against Williams, Williams would be riding the train to number 1 P4P. It's true to, and imagine if he beats Antonio Margarito somewhere in between all that.
At middleweight right now I haven't seen a middleweight on our side of things who really could pose a real threat to Pavlik any who are young anyways. Abraham of course but I'm not so sure Kelly couldn't beat Abraham. Other then that it's lacking really.
I wonder.
Well I think Wright would beat Pavlik. What worries me is that against Hopkins Wright was staying in after he punched and Hopkins was getting the last say in every combo and also roughing you up inside. Against Pavlik you don't want to stand in there with a shell on but he could outwork Pavlik whoever said that is exactly right. He can, he can definitely negate Pavliks offense simply by not allowing the jab to land clean and he is faster then Pavlik too. I think Winky beats Pavlik.
Paul Williams I think has the tools to beat Pavlik, but it would require him to fight on the safer side of things and on his toes a little more because his power isn't going to bother Pavlik it's the clean punching. Pavlik is straight ahead, Williams is really good at punching with his feet moving and that's how he gets those ridiculous punchstats. Think he would give Pavlik problems but Kelly's power and Williams' being susceptible to getting hit since he carries his hands so low and is so instinctly offensive it hurts him. But that's very interesting it's winnable for both.
