He wasn't able to use it against the southpaw Calzahge very effectively, but if Pavlik can land his jab on Hopkins(which isn't really a jab more of a range finder, then Kessler could definitely land his jab).
I don't think it's fair to assume the bhop who fought Calzaghe, Winky, Tarver, and De la hoya will be the bhop who'd fight kessler.

THAT bhop threw 1 punch and looked to hug all fight. If Bhop shows up looking to actually work like he did against Kelly, then we have an entirely different fight. Bhop stayed off the ropes beautifully in that fight.
