haha, yep.. I'm in the West Greenwich office right now, and probably will be for the rest of the week.. When people come in to train they usually stay at the Marriot, and they put them in rooms that face the building hah..Originally Posted by killersheep

You mentioned where can you see bands, and if that's your interest then you're in luck.. I seriously feel that is the best thing about Providence.. You have about 10, literally 10 or so venues that constantly have shows.. Ri-Ra is a place i go on Fri-Sat because they have cover bands and it's a good time.. But next sunday i'm going to Lupo's to see Toadies, don't know if you're into them but it will be a good show.. Otherwise you have AS220, the living room (which i think is having some issues right now because the Toadies show was supposed to be there but got moved to Lupo's), Club Hell, and a bunch of others.. Go to this site Welcome to Lupo's .. You will find a schedule there, along with links on the left hand side which have other venues in the area, along with radio stations that will have calendars of events/shows..
and along with what you said before about it being sleepy, you're right! haha.. it's no boston or new york, or even close.. Thurs/Fri/Sat nights are the only nights where there will be a lot of people in the streets, and even then it's really only around the bar areas.. It's mostly because RI is so small that everyone drives, so you have less people who live in the area milling about.. people come to the bars, and leave right after..
