As much as I was in shock during the moment Roy got caught, I kind of laugh at that knockout.
If you watch it carefully, Roy takes the shot, turns sideways, sits down on an imaginary chair, then falls straight back.

If you look at Roys body though its nothing like past no muscle definition really as of old he looked loads like his normal self vs Trinidad body wise and some flashy moves the weight loss hurt his body really bad from Ruiz to Tarver.
Roy just went through the motions vs Johnson . He may have expected to be an easy style for him to outbox so he wasnt 100% focused . He had none of his usual charisma and it looked liek a career ending defeat . Im surprised that all these years later he is in a massive fight .

I agree he took Glen lightly. IF he puts up a good fight on the weekend, win or lose, I reckon Johnson is someone he should consider avenging, the only opponent so far he never beat. I have a gut feeling though that Roy really is finished and that his only chance againast Joe is early.
I think beating Calzaghe(which is about as likely as McCain winning yesterrday) would place Roy back on top for the best fighter since Roberto Duran. Regardless of everything else he fought horridly against G. Johnson. He didn't bring his hands up on the ropes, now people are acting like how he defended himself agains Trinidad is something new, but Roy always defended like that off the ropes, and very effectively. Against Glen he was sharp defensively at all, and I get quite upset with his performance everytime I watch it. Because to me thats his biggest loss. He was battered around for 9 rounds and then he was KO'ed in a devastating fashion.
Tarver II: Roy got caught by one big punch that is acceptable to me, it looked like Roy was outboxing Tarver up until that point, but he was countered by a heavy punch.
Tarver III: Tarver looked just as bad as Roy up until Tarver hurt him, sure Tarver was the aggressor which got him most of the rounds but he was unable to land almost anything for almost the whole fight, and when Roy did do anyhting Tarver couldn't respond. Even the right hook that hurt Roy barely looked like it landed, but he must have not seen it or something.
