When we were at the Calzaghe-Lacy fight she must have been the only Brit there who wanted Lacy to win.
All the local Manchest boys around us thought she was mad.(which she is)


When it looked like Kessler might beat Calzaghe in the middle rounds I thought she was going to pass out with excitment.


She has all her hopes on Jones beating Joe on Saturday night.

Lol my girl is exactly the sameway when i watched Bernard Hopkins vs Joe Calzaghe, and Joe Calzaghe went down she shouted out in excitement. It woke a few neighbours up aswell

But i have to admit if i didn't follow boxing and all i had been seeing, is Joe Calzaghe's lastest interviews/comments i would find it hard to root for Joe Calzaghe aswell. I think he has been acting like a right tit lately, especially the way he has been contradiciting himself, he never used to be like that.

Because people make Ricky out to be such a humble down to earth guy, but in the 24/7 series with him and Mayweather he also came off as a prick to me. I don't think Calzaghe is a prick, he's a great fighter who is probably frustrated with the lack of acknowledgement most ignorant north americans give him.

Ohh a dig at the opposition ! Ignorant North Americans eh? Im going for Roy too.
What about us ? You left out the whole of the Southern hemisphere and most of the other northern countries who also feel exactly the same way about his timed accomplishments.This ones not so different.
But we are talking about Roy too; who may have picked his way through what was available sooo . Hey they are both here finally!

Although in watching them in the build up I have much more respect for Joe going into New York for Roy time zone,flight etc and he doesnt come off as being a prick about it, just centered on the job.
I also have more hope that Roy can pull it off after seeing him too, relaxed and enjoying life in the ring more. Joe and his dad make him appear faster than he is in training cause of him moving the pads against the rythym of Joes flurries.
Roy looked faster to me working alone.
Hope its a good one. I have no idea who will win this.
