Mosely is a brawler. A lot of people fail to see that. Mosely doesn't box from the outside or pick shots, mosely likes to bang. He's a great counter puncher but he does his best work when he's banging - all Margi does. How much of a Margi onslaught can shane take? And does shane really dish out more than cotto could?
Alot could go wrong here. In shanes favor he will utilise his clinch often, cotto only clinched twice in his fight with margi. Shane isn't a defensive wizzard. Infact, when on the retreat, Cottos defense is far superior than Shane. Shane will catch alot more leather than cotto did and will do so willingly. I don't see this ending pretty for Shane. (based on the shane we know and love.. very possible he comes to fight with a different plan on fight night though).
I do however, think this is a gorgeous match on paper because of their styles and this is going to be an incredible fight. What Shane shows up though? The shane who lets his hands go? Or the Shane who at times shies from throwing any punches and will literally stand in front of his opponent fending off pot shots.
so, you think maybe he got some false confidence (about his size and power) after the Mayorga KO?
i think the main idea here is that Sugar is becoming B-hop esque, in that he taking any big fights he can to cement his legacy, and for the money too of course.
i also think a similar point here is being made as to the RJJ comment on 24/7-- if Sugar wins, he gets the title and a significant bump in the all time p4p ratings; if he loses, he's still Sugar. for Margarito it's just the opposite- if he wins, he keeps the status quo; if he loses, his historical rating drops significantly and maybe the fans get a decent rematch out of the deal.
botom line, he can't let the guy cotto beat, beat him.
