Id be very surprised if it isnt 3-0 to the Brits
Generally, outcomes to boxing fights are not easy to predict, but the fights mentioned are unusually difficult.
Easiest Pick: Haye over Barrett - mid round stoppage. Assuming Haye's talent translates into the heavier weight class, he should outclass Barrett.
Most Difficult Pick: Calzaghe over Jones - decision win, but I can see Jones' style giving Calzaghe problems. Three months ago, I thought Jones was an easy win for Calzaghe, now Jones has convinced me that he may spring a major upset here. Then again, I can see that Calzaghe could dominate the fight and win decisively. Really tough one to call.
Hatton over Paulie on points, but semi-controversial. Paulie is a poor (or destitute man's) man's PBF - good movement, good feetwork, fast etc. As mentioned above, his problem is that he has no power. He ain't knocking Hatton out, but he may win on punch output and defense. Will Hatton box for 12 rounds?
If you changed the title to "November & December UK v. North America," I would probably also include Carl Froch over Jean Pascal, late round stoppage.
4-0 UK.
Another way to look at it is what outcome would be most shocking? I think Barrett beating Hate would be surprising as would Paulie beating Ricky, but if Jones beat Joe, I'd be surprised, but not as shocked.
