And Hatton does not have trouble in the "smaller" fights. A world champion southpaw gave him trouble. Big deal. You talk like any P4P fighter should win every fight comfortably. There are no easy fights at the highest level and certain styles are always bound to give certain fighters trouble. Does Collazo deserve a rematch? Yes. Does it mean Hatton is ducking him if he doesn't give it to him? Not in the least. He has bigger fish to fry.

And you sound like a kid screaming, "Oh, but he said this after the fight. He can't take it back!!!"

It's like Delahoya said after the Mayorga fight, a fighter's emotions aren't in check after a fight. He said he'd take a week or two before sitting down and thinking about the future. Hatton's pride was simply stung by the criticism after the fight and he was too quick to accept any rematch.
You are now the proud owner of 201 cool clicks for that brilliant post. Absolutely spot on. How in the hell can you be ducking a fighter you have just beaten??
    Cheers, mate.

Also, on the fear subject. If my memory serves me, I believe it was Hatton that was taking the fight to Collazo from round 1 to the final bell. In fact, when Collazo stunned Ricky in the 12th round Ricky still came forward and within 20-30 seconds he was in control of the round yet again.

If Ricky agreed to give Collazo a rematch would he have to face Urkal as the mandatory challenger before it could happen? If so and Ricky vacated, would Collazo want a rematch with nothing but pride at stake?

    Making complete sense to ya

And Clydey your arguements are much the same again.

The key factor is how long Hatton has left. His style means he will probably be shot at some point in his early thirties so he needs Mayweather, Cotto, Castillo etc quick. He cant fwock about giving rematches to anyone that wants them. Just because its a close decision, why does Collazo need a rematch. Should every fight have to be a complete and utter blow out for it to not be disputed. I swear some people on these forums just take the minority view and argue it to the death for fun. In my few months on the forum, Ive only seen one big fight where everyone was agreed on the winner and that was Calzaghe Lacy. Sometimes people you just have to stop think and let common sense take control

did you put the "I'm gay" comment on there?! what did I say that was so off or not adult? all i thought I was saying was that if Hatton doesn't give Collazo a rematch he doesn't deserve to have the title...and I would then question his manhood....pls reply.....I want to know..it is never my intention to post any comment not to be taken seriously.....I LOVE boxing...I Coached amateurs this past year and recently got back in the fight game myself.....
I sure did it was a pointless post and i'll remove any crap talking posts... this is a forum to discuss... its not a hate board for kiddies

Collazo is old news, Hatton has nothing to prove against him other than whether he can deal with a southpaw a bit better....He won the fight, let him move on and give us another thriller like the Tszyu fight.
