Pac's right had is "harder" and his jab is more explosive. But a left hook is a left HOOK! Doesn't matter how strong you are, it's the body's ability to work together to put the best amount of torque and leverage into the punch to land a blow that a fighter can't see coming. Left hook is devastating, and de la Hoya has one!

He's going to land it too. Pacquiao's moving his head a lot for this fight. If Pac can avoid that left, or at least make de la Hoya unbalanced, then he'll win, EASY.

Roach already said it in the Past that a 130 lbs Pac has more Pop that the 154 lbs DLH. Well the fight is at 147, Pac becomes stronger while DLH will be Drained a bit. That's why I'm not surprised of what Roach's saying. No wonder Roach is so confident of Pac Chances.

So DLH just got his Left hook & Jab to relly on. Pac learned how to deal with Jab after his lost to Morales. Pac is not hittable with the Left hook anyway, so I'm not worried about it. MAB is the best Left hooker that Pac has fought. Look how dominant Pac against MAB?

I'm so Confident now about Pac Chances. It's time to Place my bets.

Some people are out of there mind firstly have many of you have boxed ? do you know the difference getting hit by someone who weighs 10+ more pounds ?

I can tell you from experience that there is a hell of alot difference. ODLH's natural weight is easily 160+ pounds, and its physically impossible for little Manny Pacquiao to hit harder than ODLH. Especially since ODLH's core strength is a big advantage.

And if anyone actually believes Manny Pacquiao hits harder than a man, who is naturally easily 15 pounds heavier than him. Then you need to be whipped round to the nearest doctor because your a danger to society.

A bullet is only weighs an oz but it's enough to kill a 200lbs man. Why ?? Because of Velocity. Pac's punch maybe 10 lbs lighter but it travel much faster than DLHs. The faster a punch travels the harder it lands. This is Basic Physics.

I know all about speed generating power, but when has Manny Pacquiao showed 1 punch KO power at the higher weights ? he had to hit David Diaz about 1000 times before David Diaz's body finally give up.

When ODLH was at the lower weight classes he was KOing opponents. With one punch and he still hits hard, like i said if you think Manny Pacquiao hits harder than ODLH.

I suggest you either watch there fights again, or go to the nearest doctors because thats crazy talk.

As for your comment Ono yes not in all cases does a heavier man hit harder. But in most cases especially boxing they do, fighters like Cory Spinks, Paul Malignaggi are exceptions.

Pacquiao does not have one-punch power. He knocks opponents out by his relentlessness and his ability to wear his opponents out. Yes he does have power but it's his accumulation of blows that take people out.

Let's look at the knockout history:

Diaz TKO by 9 - he hit him at will and still took 9 rounds.

Solis KO by 8 - Solis only really took 2 rounds of punishment but was looking for a way out instead of really being hurt.

Morales KO by 3 - I believe Morales had big trouble making 130 which is why it only lasted 3.

Morales TKO by 10 - It took a RIDICULOUS amount of shots to be taken out. No one shot looked to hurt Morales but you saw each one take it's toll.

Velasquez TKO by 6 - Again, Velasquez wasn't taken out by one or a couple of big blows, it was by a huge round where Manny landed sick amounts of combinations.

Barrera TKO by 11 - Another case where Pacquiao landed a ridiculous amount of punches but took 11 to finish.

Ledwaba TKO by 6 - This is somewhat of an early knockout but if you've seen this fight you'd realize Pac landed hellacious shots for ALL of those rounds. He landed more punches in 6 than most in a full 12.

Even at lower weights from where he's at now, it took him more than just one-punch power to take people out...

(Battery and Lucero were one-punch knockouts and would'nt be proving my cause if i talked about them)

    I'm with ICB on this.

To say Pac hits harder tha ODLH is absurd. DLH has fought at middleweight. Pac started at flyweight.

This is an absurd comparison, it is not just velocity, but also because the energy of the blast is focused in a very small area. Not only is PACs punch lighter, but the area of impact will be roughly the same once they get the gloves on. Without having the Ivan Drago punch counter machine measuring pounds per inch of force you have no basis for this argument other than "Roach said so."

Dammit I did it again I can't believe I fell for responding to another one of these damn SADDOBOXER-WANTS-PACS-JOCKSTRAP advertisement threads.

I think people reply to these threads to try to have the funniest comment on how to talk about how ridiculous the statement is.

BY THE WAY! THIS JUST IN! Roach claims Pacquiao's chin will be able to take more damage because Manny decided to grow his goatee out!!!

So you don't think it's possible that Edwin Valero could hit harder than say.....Cory Spinks?

Not saying Pac hits harder than ODLH but there is a lot more than just 'weight' that determines your punch power.

Pac has quite a decent frame. I think you're going to be surprised with how well he handles the extra weight.

Freddie Roach: Of course! Manny fights like a true Mexican warrior. They’ve never liked Oscar and he’s never really had their support and nothing is going to change there.
HHhhhmmm so I guess every arena and even stadium that he keeps selling out is filled to capacity by Phillipinos? Nope. Like it or not, Mexicans still fill out arenas/stadiums wherever ODLH fights regardless of fighting a big name or not.
This Pac vs Hoya fight will be EPIC at my place because we will be filled to capacity! I need to get a damn Keg, for a damn fight! I always said to people that I was setting up a funeral for our favorite fighter. But if he pulls it off, my place will be nuts!
And that is what makes this fight exciting I guess . The thing I somehow like about this fight is that, ok, lots and lots of people hate ODLH but seems like they want him to win convincingly just to quiet all those Pac groupies (not you, you seem to have your feet on the ground and far from being biased with Pac). Darn it! I have a company dinner that night! I will try to escape earlier or hope the place has a bar!
Pac learned how to deal with Jab after his lost to Morales.
Not so sure about that. Morales tried to "give the fans more excitement than the last fight" and went on to exchange with Pac, bad idea. He did fine on the first fight just jabbing away, one-two, etc. And just keeping Pac away and moving to the side whenever Pac did his typical charge attack.
What makes me think twice about this fight is how ODLH got hit by a guy that is not known to have KO fists (Forbes) and still had some noticeable damage to his face. ODLH wasn't really threatened by Forbes at any point of that fight but still, just one of those things that make me go hhhhmmmmm.
