No matter how good that D is! It's the one thing I'll challenge BritKid on
Maxie Rosenbloom had as an excellent legacy despite only winning 19 fights on a stoppage in 220 wins.

Jake LaMotta was a light puncher 30 KO's in 83 wins.

Myung Woo Yuh was possibly the finest fighter to come out of Korea, despite being 13-0 with 0 KO wins to his name.

Featherfists does not disqualify you from building an excellent legacy.
    true, but it stopped ottke

Being featherfisted did not stop Ottke creating a better legacy. What cost him, were them robberies; he already had a boring style of fighting, so that is going to annoy a lot of people, and then when he started getting hometown decisions in his favour, he pissed these people off even more.

That is why Ottke does not get the credit his career deserves, but I am sure he does not care, because he got more money, by making title defences, with a title that should of belonged to other people.

I have little time for him myself, but I do recognise he was no mug, it took a fair fighter to beat him, and no matter what the record books say, most of us know he lost at least a couple of bouts as a pro.

I have heard that Juarez/Raheem was a pretty good home town score for Juarez.

To be fair to the judges in that fight, I doubt they were able to stay awake for 15 rounds, so I guess they presumed Ali must of won

    Spinks clearly outpointed Mayorga.
No, No he did not. Not anymore than SRL outpointed Hagler. Same Situation, both BIG Robberies.

I wish I could put Meldrick Taylor Vs Chavez on this thread, but he was not robbed by the judges he was robbed by the referee. I thought he won 9 rounds of that fight even though he took more punishment from Chavez's power shots. He never was the same again but he deserved to win on that night.

He was in no state to continue and didn't respond to the referees questions, the time was irrelevant, a round is 180 seconds long and you can win or lose at any time during the fight, you shouldn't get help from the ref, just got the fight is nearly finished, even if there was a tenth of a second left. Steele was not the timekeeper and nor should he have been.
