Something about polishing Jewelry and relating it to Taylor's career I guess. Not really sure what that non-sense was supposed to mean.
Ok that makes sense. He draws some long bows these days.
He gave him a back handed compliment Lol...Basically said Tayor was more Cubic Zirconia than actual diamond,Gee thanks Larry.Time for your nap

The Cintron fight was a bit dull. He did what he needed to I guess. Get some rounds in and a clear win.

I found the Taylor: Lacy fight to be dull too. Way too much clinching for my liking and the ref just tapping arms down. Taylor won convincingly but didnt impress me too much. Kessler takes him to pieces. I think a fight with Andrade would be fun to watch Taylor in.

As for Lacy, well, he never gave up but he was completely outmatched. He's still got a chin and a lot of heart, but that is not enough at the highest level. All of the top guys can probably beat him. I never thought he was particularly good, but he was better than he is now. He should probably hang them up.

I thought Taylor looked pretty awesome.. He was composed and he didn't deviate from his game plan except for the 5th round..

The WORST part of the fight was the ref.. WHAT THE FUCK WAS HE DOING constantly just hitting their arms away.. IMO that is a terrible method to break up the clinching. I'd be pissed if a ref was moving my hands away possibly leaving me open for a shot.. All you have to do is yell break.. If they keep doing it, then you warn them both, and then you start to take points away.. That eventually will stop them from holding..

If Taylor could show a few more angles, step sideways a little more, and throw a few more uppercuts and left hooks as opposed to the straight right hand, then he will be very tough to beat in his next fight.. His defense seems to have increased quite a bit since the first Pavlik fight, and he seems to be more composed.. He also didn't tire out as bad as he normally does at the end of fights..

I think while Taylor looked fresh the whole fight it was because he was holding so much. I still am not sure on how his stamina will be against a mover. I think he did a great job on fighting his fight 11 out of the 12 rounds, he dictated the pace and some of those uppercuts he landed were brutal. Also I was impressed when he turned Lacy in a complete circle peppering him with jabs the whole time. Very impressed with the composure of Taylor in this fight though, when he hurt Lacy he tried to finish it, and never let Jeff get anything going. Taylor definately has an elemental place at 168, I think Kessler with his stamina will give him problems, against Bute it should be a good fight, it would probably be pretty close. Andrade would wear out Taylor big time IMO.
One fight against a top 10 guy at 168 and then Bute should be who he should go for.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Agreed.. I think the holding definitely helped him get through the fight without having a stamina issue, but i also don't think he was holding because of that.. he knew that if he was going to get caught it was probably going to be on the inside, so he was fighting smart.. His jab was at it's BEST last night, and it's definitely his best weapon.. If you also think about it, Jermain, on a number of occasions, opened up and threw some HARD combinations.. He normally sticks to basics and only does this when he thinks his man is hurt, but he was using this as a weapon in this fight.. So, the fact that he was throwing some hard punches and even though he was holding, he didn't show stamina issues is definitely a huge plus..

I think a Kessler fight would be a LARGE challenge for Jermain.. I don't have the specifics (nor do i feel like looking them up) but height and reach are a factor in this fight considering both fighters fight very technical fights.. If Taylor can stick his jab in without getting in too close, then I give him the fight due to the fact that he seems a little more willing to take chances to land big shots.. Kessler sits back the whole fight until his jab and 1-2 effect the guy, and he then decides to attack.. But if Taylor can stick his jab in, and keep his guard up without getting hit by Kesslers right too often, he can take him..

Taylor's double triple quadruple jab was ridiculous and he needs to keep using it as he steps up in competition level..
