So what...neither did Gatti...& he don't deserve to be there either...but there's been talk of it...the HOF is lowering it's standards IWHO.
Gatti should get in for contributions to the sport imo. He should get in on the Boom Boom Mancini clause (even though Mancini was a more talented fighter and actually held a legit title)
I guess I'm just a bit too hard on Gatti...but he's just an overratted version of Vargas to me. Gatti, IWHO, is just a glorified club fighter.

Who has Gatti beaten of merit? Ward? An old Leija? Dorin?

All names followed by question marks. Gatti falls under the gun just like Vargas.
It's not a matter of who he's beat, it''s the fashion in which he did it imo. He brought a lot of people to the sport. I can definitely see why people would say he isn't one though, I just think that he is to memorable of a fighter to leave out of the hall. I don't think the same of Vargas.
