I respect your opinion, but Vera is gonna be throwing looping punches while Kirkland will catch him all night with straighter shots.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Thing is, I think they both throw looping punches...

You could be right, Kirkland might get there 1st... Unless Wolfe can find a way to calm the kid down and have him relax, I thin Vera will be able to fight it out.
More then anything I'm going on instinct here and that's what it's telling me...

A reason to root for James
Ann carries alot of overhead on her gym
See when I take on a charity case, its not alot of skin off my nose,I own the gym,so I can just make the executive decision of,"Oh what the hell, let the kid train".
She doesnt as far as I know, and still keeps taking kids off the street, James was one of those kids. Just the prestige alone will get in better paying customers, allowing her to keep taking care of those kids.
    Im rooting,and rooting hard.

That's a recipe for an upset.
Is your prediction that Vera beats Kirkland?
Kirkland may get to Vera early, it's possible, but if this goes beyond 6 rounds, Vera will stop him.

Any fight with Kirkland is worth watching. He is an exciting fighter that's for sure. He really needs to work on his defense, but he comes guns blazing from the opening bell.

So if you are going, yes, you should be in your seat for this one.

Here is just an example of one of James Kirklands action packed fights. You can check out even more on YouTube.

If Vera knows how to take a guy deep I give him a chance. Watching this vid I see what Kirkland's problems are. Defense and the guy just pours EVERYTHING out. He was hurt by that punch that knocked him down, but I've never seen a guy want to jump back into the frey like that- he looked like he wanted to shove the ref out the way.

I interviewed Ann and James, both are decent, salt-of-the-earth folk. I have a like for James that I don't have as much of for other good fighters. He's not great. He does have flaws. But he is exciting. I want to see him do a lot of good. If he improves he can be the next generation of the division.
    Oops
