this should be a good test for Berto. i hope he can pass it Mosley is no push over no matter if hes past it or not. but Berto should win.
COME ON, SHANE!!!!
I know it's a lot to ask, but if he could go out on a win, it'd be fantastic. Sadly I know he's past it and the Mayorga fight should signficant deterioration in his game up until the KO, but it would be so nice if he could take it. He'll probably lobby for a Margarito fight after that and get mashed though.
Margrito is not wrong for Mosley the ones that were wrong were Forrest ad Winkey but it was there jab and boxing ability somthing Margrito does not have i pick the Mosley that beat Oscar over Margrito not sure now and i like his chance at Berto even though i like Berto Mosely i like alot more then Berto so i be rooting for Mosley hope he wins this fight. As for your comment on boxer Roy was no better a boxers with out his speed and reflexs he is nothing so i dont know why he was not on the list.
This should be a great fight. Although Shane is aging I believe that his experience will be key during this fight. I think that Mosley will beat Berto.
Puerto Rico, Small Island, Big Champions!!!
Very interesting matchup...
Can Berto overwhelm the once considered fastest hands in boxing?
Does SSM still have it in him to shine againsts todays young guns?
Really interested in seeing how this one goes and lots of respect to Berto for taking the fight.
When did Mosley have the fastest hands in boxing? Roy Jones was always p4p faster, then Floyd came along in the 2000's and was faster then.
Berto has the fastest hands in boxing Right now. Nobody matches his speed, it is very much akin to prime Roy Jones jr's speed p4p.
A boxer moves well, counters well, and doesn't get hit. Mosley is relatively easy to hit compared to other guys with his speed, he doesn't move well, he's never been known for throwing a good straight punch which really limits his range. For the most part he doesn't use a leaping left hook.
Roy Jones Jr was fast, but he could dominate you purely using the counter. Roy didn't dominate with the jab, but he used that leaping left hook and that lead right cross, and he did use the jab a lot, but only to set up other punches or to keep the range. I consider a boxer, a guy who is a master of range, who is defensively sound, and is as effective off the back foot as they are off the front foot. Roy meets these creteria, Mayweather does, Ali does, Leonard does, Robinson does, Hopkins does, De La Hoya does, Whitaker does, but Mosley doesn't. Its because Mosley thinks like a brawler, he was such a heavy puncher at lightweight that I think he couldn't make the transition in the higher weightclasses.
