I'd have to say Cotto. Ricky won more rounds, but Cotto gave him a worse beating I think. Also, the stoppage has no bearing, because it was a dumb stoppage and IMO Ricky was not going to stop paulie if MCgirt didnt throw the towel in.

The only people who vote for Cotto must be groupies.
Cotto conceeded 4/5 rounds against this chump.
Hatton conceeded one and beat him both on the inside and outside.
Big wow Cotto floored him, it was a flash knockdown anyway. When Hatton landed a jab it looked like Paulie would go down.
Hatton took him to school, Paulie was very much competitive in the Cotto fight.
Easy choice IMO.
Remember that Cotto broke his hand in the fifth.
Hatton never stopped Malignaggi, it was Paulies corner who stopped it. Paulie is known for being tough and his corner even took that away from him. I believe that Cotto would have knocked Pualie out had he not broken his hand. I guess we will just have to see what Hatton still has and has learned when he gets in the ring with someone better than Malignaggi who IMO sucks and after he got served by Cotto, he has never been the same but if Paulie is the best that weight division has then it is a very lousy division.
I voted Cotto and i'm definitely no groupie. But I do know who's a Hatton groupie.
Cotto's beat him when he was undefeated and felt unbeatable and still had use of his right hand. it was clear that he had some sort of trouble with his right because just about everytime he threw it he landed it on Hattons face and that would make anyone want to let it go.
That being said, I think Hatton made some very good improvements very quickly under hi new trainer and he changed my mind about what i thought he had left in the tank. He looked better conditioned even though its much different when you're getting return fire. He definitely learned how to box better without the recklessness.
Think about this, if Mcgirt stopped it at that point in the Hatton fight, what do you think he would have done if he was in the corner for the Cotto fight. He would have probably tried to jump in and help because paulie looked mashed.
