Hatton needs to fight a world class fighter, i dont think he is shot but i still think hes far from his very best, Paulie was just a belt holder ( well initiallay when the fight was made)

Who had Paulie beat? No one thats who hes best performance was a beat down from Cotto, i want to judge Ricky in another big fight a Cotto, Pac or maybe Bradley or even Marquez, people will say Marquez is maybe a tad small but he is taller and has a reach advantage, i think JMM would need a fight against an Uranga or someone of a similar standard at 140 before we could judge becasue if Ricky was to fight JMM in JMM first figth at 140 and beat him we know what the fallout would be " JMM was no 140 fighter".

Paulie was seen as the number 2 light welter Ricky fought great last night lets not start taking it away from him most thought he would be to quick and outbox Ricky as it was Ricky outboxed the boxer.

Number 2 in a weak division i for one thought Hatton would beat Paulie evn i thought a shot Ricky would, if you asked prior to the fight where is Paulie in p4p status no where near the top 25 i would guess in many peoples opinion, not taking anything away from Ricky but Paulie is far from an elite fighter.

Hatton did himself proud lastnight.Activity level intact, jabbing, though was a little less focused on the body.Personally I think a fight with Bradley would be nice but more likely to see a much bigger name/status fight.

Hatton isnt shot, in fact I think hes been a pretty consistant fighter. he looks different against different opponents bacause of their style but he almost always fights the same way and does the same things. I think with Floyd Sr. he is using his jab more and I was surprised that he was often winning the battle of the jabs against a boxer. I though getting rid of Graham was a bad move but Ricky needed any change at this point in his career and it turned out ok.

Shot no not at all...But he should stay it 140 where he belongs...and ot venture any further again.....Part of his performance may have been due to Malignaggi not doing anything to keep him having to worry but we will see next bout...he looked good last night though...

TBH I really did not see much of the big changes Mayweather was supposed to have done with him but....

Totally agree mate Hatton deosnt belong at 147 his style is not suited to the bigger men, he has all the money he has in the world, i think he should concentrate on his legacy and beat all comers at 140.

He is far from shot. I was impressed.. mostly with his patience. He wasn't the same ugly fighter, diving in 100MPH, wasting punches/energy and wrestling.

Problem is.. ANY version of Hatton would have beaten powderpuff. Good win for Ricky, but Paulie was rated no.2 in the divison by default.

He looked better, I would like to see him against a guy with something, anything, to keep Hatton worried about power wise.

Impossible to say, he fought someone who did not bother fighting him back. Maglianni was a massive disappointment last night who made Hatton look incredible.
