Man, a lot of you guys are going to be in for quite a shock when Pac wins this thing. Did you guys miss the Forbes fight or something? He hit ODLH all night long, even broke a bone in his face, and he is NO WHERE NEAR as fast or strong Pacman. He's also not much bigger that Manny and stood in well to Oscar's punches. How, after seeing what Forbes was able to do, can anyone believe a far superior fighter like Pacquiao is going to be slaughtered?

Il have any bet you want Pac gets smashed, did we see Steve Forbes? The Steve Forbes who has fought light Middleweights, the Steve Forbes who has been 12 rounds in many fights with guys over 140+, yes ive seen him, now Manny p4p alot better but a guy who has never fought anywhere near 147, he has only had one fight at Lightweight, DelaHoya will spark him out within 6 rounds.

Don't misunderstand me...it would not surprise me if Manny got knocked out at some point, but it WILL be a highly competitive fight for as long as it goes. Pacquaio may be smaller, but he is WAY faster than Oscar and has superior hand speed and power to Forbes. In fact, if it goes the distance, it is a fact that Pacman wins. ODLH won't be able to keep up with the pace. He has to knock him out.

Yep. It will be a long night for Oscar if he fails to KO Pac in early rounds.

He's not way faster than Oscar, nobody is WAY faster. Even Mayweather who is quicker than Manny wasn't way faster than Oscar. Oscar has always had great handspeed that can compete on anyone's level. I see Manny ferocity and his combinations giving Oscar a lot of trouble, but not purely his speed.

Pac throws 100+ punches with great accuracy and they're like knives.

I think he's way faster than ODLH. Oscar doesn't have a right hand btw.

Well i agree with Teath Oscar has fought all through the weights and so i dont think far to say he has fought all smaller guys when Bernard was way bigger then Oscar Del Hoya was and no one said anything then did they. As for miles know you do not like the guy but to be one of your favorite fighters in Calzaghe fighting guys that were old like Roy jones jr i think is just as bad because he was shot to hell and back Calzaghe even said so. Also the fight during his 10 year reign at supermiddle weight did nothing really but fight some good fighter and complete bums so i dont know how you can get on Oscars career and say this and that and he is a fake but one of your favorite fighters who never had the balls mover up in weight and try to make the fights he should of 10 years ago just a thought maybe i see it wrong but i can not really see the differents.

First of all, Pac is going to beat Oscar.

Secondly, I think Hatton-Pac is about a 50/50, maybe 60/40 fight (for Hatton). Hatton cuts and swells easily, and even if Pac isn't a murderous puncher at 140, he's still a high volume, accurate puncher with some power. He moves well, and he's far too intelligent to get involved in a wrestling match with Hatton. Also, they're close to the same height, so it's not like Pac is going to have to take a murderous amount of punishment just to get inside Hatton's range. As Skel mentioned, Hatton has a history of poor performances against southpaws, and he's never fought one as skilled as Pac.

I said all along I thought Caballero was going to be a very tough fight for Molitor, and I became rather pessimistic about Molitor's chances, but that doesn't mean I wasn't going to cheer for him.

You're just glad you finally got a prediction right, but even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while.

I'm wondering if anyone has a different opinion on this subject since the DLH fight??

Especially considering Pac vs Hatton could be a very very likely fight for 2009...

Pac showed that even at 142 pounds, he is still incredibly fast and sharp.. He showed a LOT of great movement against Oscar and that sharp straight left would give Hatton a lot of trouble if Pac used it as a counter to Ricky coming in... Pac doesn't to a huge amount of fight on the way backwards, so he'd really having to be fighting fire with fire with Ricky.. And I can see it being a bit of a war.... But i'd put this fight almost even money... Pac looks as sharp at 142 as at 130...
