If cotto could sustain what he did against margarito in the first 6 rounds for a whole fight he would beat any fighter at 140-147, even Floyd Mayweather IMO. At 143 the fight with Hatton would be very exciting, I think both of thier styles make a very exciting fight to which an outcome would be hard to predict. Anything could happen, but I think Cotto would be the hardest hitting fighter Hatton has ever faced. Hes such an outstanding fighter Miguel Cotto and I love watching him fight, I want to see him after the Margarito loss to comment properly on a Hatton 143 fight. But recent performaces would suggest that Cotto would get the nod at this momment in time. Hatton himself should be aware this fight can happen and would be highly entertaining for his fans.

Hatton would have to be smart in this fight though... That new head movement that him and Mayweather are talking about would certainly need to come together against Cotto... Margarito got hit was some freakin sharp counters for a lot of the fight.. Margarito is a tank that is going to keep coming through them, but Hatton's face would go about 8 different colors if he had to take that many clean shots to pin Cotto down...
Stylewise it would be excelent, and if Hatton wore Cotto down like Margarito did, it would be another absolutely classic fights for the ages. But Cotto has been countering better and better as time wears on, and Hatton would have to be very wary of that throughout the fight, lest he end up on his ass not knowing what hit him..

Hatton got nailed with a check hook from Paulie's left hand last night. I doubt he would survive if that was Cotto's punch.

If Paulie who hits like a girl was able to bruise and put lumps on Hatton's face, I can only imagine what Cotto would do Hatton
