To me Malignaggi has never really been the same since the Cotto fight. His decline had started. He struggled after. And Cotto was weight drained in that fight.

His best "wins" came AFTER Cotto.

Once again the american bias towards its own fighters comes out on here (i do acknowledge cotto is puerto rican but he has fought in the states for most of his career)

Watch the cotto-paulie fight again and you`ll clearly see for large parts Malignaggi was in control of the fight and hurt cotto on more than a couple of occasions only losing at the end by 115-112

Hatton battered malignaggi and won all but the 1st round and at no point did his assault let up.

Paulie got destroyed by hatton yet almost beat cotto
