James Kirkland's performance last night

Trainer is right. There were people who thought Vera would win. RozzySean was one of them . I think I offered him a sig bet. I can't recall if he accepted it.

I'm not arguing that nobody thought Vera would win, I'm just saying that the idea that "everybody" thought Vera was gonna win was off the charts crazy, obviously 25 out of 26 people is pretty solid.

Kirkland is great to watch though but it will be his downfall, he's just too wild, he's gonna get clipped, its inevitable.

Daxx got it,he wasnt too wild at all,he was stiff and not wanting to screw up his network debut. He never varied from the game plan, but that also meant he took very few risks. He took exactly what Vera was giving him,and pounded it.
Give him a few more network fights and he'll find a middle ground between his stiff but effective performance against Vera,and his earlier free-wheeling style.Or he gets his head handed to him.
But regardless,he did win the fight,and win it easily,cut the kid an ounce of slack here.

I have always said the same thing about Kirkland, I like him, he's fun to watch, I just think he's got a style that will fail him at points. So its not really a matter of cutting him slack, my opinion of him has been the same for a while.

I was mainly just arguing the thing about Vera being a favorite, not Kirklaind's performance. He performed basically like I expected him too.
