Sorry, no disrespect intended. I'm not into soccer, er, football. Hatton's from Manchester and the United is the only name I know. But 'Blue Moon' is still a very gay song to enter with. And it's a gay song to associate with a professional team. Try something with a pair of balls on it.

Something from the last 30 years that isn't a love song that perhaps has some guitars. Hell, I'd respect something by Mozart more than 'Blue Moon'. Kelly Pavlik has 'Here to Stay' by Korn. 'Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck' by Prong, 'Du Hust' by Rammstein- anything, but 'Blue Moon'. He might as well have 'Loving You' by Minnie Ripperton.

Thats nothing but white geek rock though. Music written by , and listened to by people who had no mates at school.

It's because City's colours are blue.

Plus Manchester United don't play in Manchester. They play in Stretford so we call them Stretford Rangers.

City = Richest team in the world. Fact.

Blue Moon means to a city fan what 'you'll never walk alone' means to a liverpool fan. You can't imagine it unless you are a fan. It's very difficult.

When we went to watch Lewis v Holyfield 2 the banter between the UK and US fans was great, when a cheer went up for Lewis the yanks came back witha corus of 'USA,USA!! '
Whilst Mexican fans and other South American countries are equally as passionate I don't think there are any other countries who can fly thousands of fans out to Vegas hence why its always made good business sense for American promoters to put the fights on such as Bruno, Lewis ,Naz, Joe and Ricky. Even when Bugner fought Ali in Vegas in a none title bout a good few hundred made the trip.

Anything by George Thoroughgood is gay. Sorry if you've missed the memo. All his songs sound the same.

I like Tom Petty and though the lyrics are pointed, I agree it's a poor choice to enter into a ring with. And you can't hang a pair of balls beneath a vagina. You can't rock out 'Blue Moon' just like it was wrong for Celine Dion to remake AC/DC's 'Shook Me All Night Long'.

I'd say you probably do. But you have to admit that's a pretty gay song. Here are the lyrics:

Blue Moon, you saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

Blue Moon, you knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for

And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will ever hold
I heard somebody whisper, "Please adore me"
And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold

Blue Moon, now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

Ha ha, you're taking the lyrics outta context a little. Granted the original 'Blue Moon' is a little gay, but the version Ricky comes out to is a punk rock remix. Also, as already said the track means a lot to a Man City fan like Hatton...

Now Enzo Macaranelli has gay entrance music! 'I wont back down' by Tom Petty. I understand why the lyrics are apt but the song's just plain shit!
