Its how Joe defends Himself clever, if the other guys gloves are getting Hit, Nueromusculary He cant react He has to change distance Horrible to watch. But it works a treat, early doors there could be trouble and usually there is. Once the eyes in its Hard work getting Him with a good shot.
Pain lasts a only a minute, but the memory will last forever....

    Interesting scrap.

I think Manny Steward said something similar commentating on his fights - his unique style makes him hard to consistently hit.

A rematch with Kessler and Froch or Dawson, then we can start talking legacy.
I hope he does exactly that
Not all of this is Joe's fault or even Warrens(but more Warren then Joe), but right now it stands that he's got a win over a clearly spent Jones, a "win"(haha) over a Hopkins in his 40's, a win over an injured Kessler, and two wins against guys who just got sparked badly.
This does not a legacy make, he torches Dawson or Froch, and rematches a healthy Kessler that has both hands,we're having a totally different discussion, and nobody will care about those earlier fights.

Mate dont waste ya time ... I posted exactly what you said earlier on in this thread, but it seems it dont ccount for JC,

Like I also said that had Joe been beaten with a damaged hand against Lacy, then those of us claiming a re match on that basis would be laughed outa the forum by some folks or people that appear anti JC What ever the circumstances...

Yeah, because it turns out Lacy sucks
If your so sure Calzeghe would beat Kessler anywhere and anytime, give Kessler the rematch
I mean since your so sure and all, what could it hurt?

A case could be made that Calzaghe ruined Lacy.

The Kessler fight was not that close, Calzaghe clearly won, making the necessary adjustments and baffling Kessler in the later rounds. Kessler's injury shouldn't be used as an excuse, because it did not stop him from throwing and landing his best shots. Shots that JC handled well. Additionally, Kessler has done absolutely nothing since the fight to warrant a rematch.

The only rematch I want to see is the Hopkins one, but I'm in the minority.

(And one more thing, yes Lacy sucks, but the world didn't know that till JC destroyed him, no matter what they claim right now)

For Gods sake read Kess's own letter ... Ya could also say if Jones & Hopkins was that good then why not come to Wales or London to kick Joes ass ...

You could go on forever, fact is Kess made a good attempt to dethrone Joe ... but lost to a better man with no excuses ... he is the one who says that not me ... what more dya want ... a phone call from Mr K himself.

Bud, with champions there will always be clammers for re matches, there will always be claims of injured hands & management fall outs etc.

    THATS BOXING

    What's Joe done wrong now?

    Remained unbeaten? Done that.

Not stepped out of his back yard? Done that - Germany, Denmark and the US and if I wanna be pedantic then England and Scotland aswell.

Not been in a Unification? Kessler and Lacy anyone.

Longevity? Over 10 years as a champ.

Cameback from adversity? floored 4 times. Twice in the 1st and cameback to win.

Won while injured? Broke hand in 4th against Ashira and boxed onehanded to a points decision.

Not beaten anybody? Kessler, Lacy, Hopkins, Woodhall, Reid, Brewer, Mitchell are all good competition - doesn't matter who else you beat - you still beat them.

Beaten undefeated opponents? Veit, Lacy and Kessler.

Think he's just about done it all.

Enjoy your retirement Joe and let the armchair doubters remain in their armchairs.

    RESPONSE TO TRAINER MONKEY

Not afraid in the slightest but what you dont seem to appreciate is that Joe can now more or less pick his fights because of his success's like other successful fighters have been able to do .. he beat Kessler fairly no ifs or buts should Robin Reid, Bika, or Eubanks or even Roy Jones get re matches they all have or had reason...& thats just a random list of the top of my head ...

But the answer is no they dont, because re matches aint automatic, & as Ive already said there aint a successful champion born that dont get clobbered with the re match argument at some stage

But it feels to me like you just hate JC & are clutching at straws re Kessler ...

& forgive me for presuming but ya seem also to be from a small group of people that if being honest aint bothered about re matches or what ever ....

YA JUST WANT HIM TO FIGHT UNTIL DEFEATED SO YA CAN SAY TOLD YA SO .. HE AINT THAT SPECIAL...

BUT HE IS MATE, LIKE IT OR NOT...
