You have to laugh at him thinking he's stronger than Hatton. He couldn't get off because Hatton closed the distance too quickly. Simple really. Paulie was hesitant (maybe because of his hand/maybe because after the 2nd he was wary of Hatton's power) and you cannot afford to be hesitant against Hatton....especially if you have no inside game.

I actually don't mind listening to Paulie. He comes across as quite an honest guy. He admits when he's hurt, gives credit to his opponent etc...

He acts like a bit of a toolbox at times but so do a lot of fighters.

Dont knock the guy. He just didnt have the tools to compete and he's on the rebound from it all. I like Paulie, he runs his mouth a little too much but he seems cool. I hope he can come back and pick up a belt now that Ricky seems to be looking for the money fights.

I think Paulie was trying to be as honest as he could be here. I understand the argument that Hatton bounced him around the ring for 10 rounds, but he is trying to say Cotto was the better fighter. If that's his opinion so be it. Paulie performed better against Cotto true, but he also put a lot more effort forth. I don't think that takes anything away from Hatton though. Hatton was amazing in there, still a beast, but a more patient beast, and Paulie acknowledged that. He even admitted Hatton hurt him, how often do you hear a fighter admit that? And who can better judge the abilities of two different fighters than one that's been in with both.
