In his prime he was, hell he even stopped Glen Johnson, and he had a very high ko percentage.

Its how cold and calculating he is about it. Id hate to fight the guy. He never gets rattled,he will just hunt you down. ANd like I said, heaven forbid the SOB starts grinning at you. Most fighters grin to show you, that you didnt hurt them,he starts grinning when he knows he has you,he starts smiling, you are in,and in deep son

Good stuff.Hopkins was sinister and methodical.Early on he had some blitz jobs but was at his best at just beating people up....Later,he did not strike me as a huge closer but sincerly gave the impression that he enjoyed beating people up,admired his work and made you pay for the smallest of mistakes.Great call on the grinning Lol

He'd flat out frighten me to fight,he views you as his job. Its cold blooded and methodical. And like we both said,if he smiles, fights over, you just dont know it yet.
Tyson,Wolf, and even her prodigy Kirkland, can end your fight on one punch,Hopkins slowly but surely deconstructs you.
Those fighters wipe you out with a punch,Hopkins humiliates you

"Hopkins humiliates you." True.

Tarver,Pavlik,Trinidad,Echols, all had the same facial expression.
These guys have lived in the gym most of their lives
And they all looked for all the world like they were thinking,"I dont know what to do about this"
Getting your ass handed to you, eventually happens to the best fighters,Bernard makes you look terrible while its happening. Even if you win,its a shaky decision you got because Bernard was slumming in there, you didnt really beat him.
Id hate to fight him,its one thing to just get cold cocked, its another to be slowly bled to death
Thats what makes him so frightening,he isnt afraid of you,and he isnt mad at you,he just views you as the business at hand
