I guess it's a good thing we don't have bears in Canada then, with our gun-control laws we'd be fucked.

haha was one sittin' on our back deck not but a month ago...chowing on our garbage can. I swear the thing looked at me when I opened the blinds as if to say..."Hey man...there's lots! Want some? I got dibs on the ham hock tho..."

And it didn't kill you because we have gun control laws? . I'm shocked .

What kin of bear was it?
We have a ton of black bears on the island, only 1 report of any grizzlies though.

I had to deal with a ton of them during the dig this summer, but they were all scared of us, thank God. I surprised one from about 20-30 feet away, but thankfully it took off.

Black bear. We got loads of em here. Someone bagged a world or canadian record big one not long ago with his chevy. You guys I think pretty much got the market cornered on grizzlies.
