PAC probably has undergone extensive training on how to duck Hoya's left jab or straight then rip his own powerful left hook on Hoya's liver area...
Hoya been stopped by a liver shot before... Can PAC do a Bernard Hopkins on DLH?
.

Mosley and De La Hoya had a close fight, but the punches that Mosley landed were right hand primarily, Pacquiao doesn't throw right hands. That being said Pacquiao gets in quicker, but Mosley was countering as Oscar came in mostly, if Oscar can get Pacquiao moving backwards, I think Manny is in big trouble.

are you forgetting that pacquiao is a sothpaw for him to throw a left hook to the body hed bring himself square on with DLH and be very vunerable to some hard counters, also half of the effectiveness of B-hops shot was that it was sneeky and DLH didnt realise it had been thrown till it hit him,
pac-man cant do this with his lunging style
In my experience, when a bigger and a smaller fighter are matched together, it's very hard for the smaller man to hurt the bigger man to the body and the small man feels larger man's power on the body shots more than head shots. As a couple examples, Look at Cotto against Margo. Margo, the bigger man was able to take Cotto's body shots pretty well, but over time, Margo's body work took all the starch out of Cotto. Or even look at Hatton against Urango. Urango is a huge LWW, certainly a bigger guy than Hatton, and a few good body shots put Hatton into Ruiz mode. It takes a PERFECT liver or solar plexus shot to get a bigger guy to really feel a body shot from a smaller guy. I don't think there is any way that Pac is going to hurt Oscar to the body.

the only problem with what you just said is that Cotto didnt throw no body shots..
Pac is a tremendous athlete. He has certainly improved his skills as well. But he is in no shape or form a technical, slick, counter puncher. Oscar has had problems with those types of fighters. Pac is a come forward, aggressor. IF he was Oscars size...you can argue he could overpower Delahoya with his better conditioning and speed. But he isn't. Aside from the much bigger Hopkins...when has Delahoya been hurt to the body...or hurt PERIOD? Quertey...no. A steroid beast in Vargas...no. Trinidad...no. But a fighter who has fought nearly his entire career at 130-135 is going to hurt him? Don't think so. If Oscar fights smart fight...meaning using his jab and superior skill early in the fight...he will win and potentially knock Pac out. It is possible that Oscar comes in so weak and weight drained...that he becomes a shot fighter saturday night. But that's unlikely.
He didn't throw his usually amount, no, but he did go to the body some. He knew he wasn't going to beat Tony that way. In a battle of body punching and slugging, he knew that he would lose. He had more opportunities downstairs, in part because Tony was committed to the body and that leaves the head open. Margo knew that he could eat Cotto's head shot in order to get to Cotto's body and where him down.
Cotto, being smaller, could not have won that fight by wearing him down with body work. Cotto knew that his body attack wouldn't be effective on a a guy Tony's size, and he adjust his fight plan accordingly. I was working well until the accumulation of the bigger mans body punching took it's toll. Against smaller guys or equal sized guys, like Quintana or Judah, the body work is much more effective.
Like I said, Pac ain't stopping Oscar with a body shot. It's not like Pac has a Mickey Ward left-hook that is his money, KO punch. Though he has a good right hook, I don't see him landing a right hook to the heart that is as debilitating as a liver shot. He'll be able to land a straight right to the body, but that punch doesn't have the ability to dig into the liver like a left hook, and there's no way in hell a southpaw is ever going to throw a left hook to the body. You would get murdered with a counter straight right.
I just can't see this ending well for Pac. He's not the type of fighter to jump in and out and pot shot against Oscar, and he's not going to be able to pressure and swarm him without getting his head taken off.
