Well, I'd say a good number of them have speedboats, automatic weapons, rocket launchers and other explosives, and millions of dollars in cash for the last ship they ransomed off.

Actually, I doubt the piracy has much to do with poverty. More likely it's due to the fact that there is no real government no police force, laws, etc. The pirates are just robbers. Damn, even the extremists and militants are worried about these pirate dudes.

Great practice area for the navy or RAAf ,couple of jet fighters could have some fun taking out the pirate boats once and for all.

I love those stories fucking crazy these Somalia Pirates I read about them on the BBC alll the time. The British and American navies are both out there. The other day they hijacked a tanker that was carrying a quarter of the Saudi Oil Spply for one day. A whole quarter. I wonder if there is a black market for oil. It's crazy though people are paying ransoms they usually don't kill and it's making millionaires out of people in a country with no money or even a government.

You as always misunderstand what is actually going on it's not libertarianism it's a mish mash of tribes and warlords and therefore more along the lines of an anarchy.

Libertarians view a strong central government as a necessary evil to keep order and the rule of law, they just don't appreciate at least in America's case the total disregard of the 9th Ammendment to the Constitution.
