Some guy at work is really doing my head in!!

Okay as most you know I am studying A-Levels at college but work in a supermarket part time to pay for driving lessons, a car etc. I've been there since early September and everythings fine, the fellow staff are great and I enjoy the pay slips every month

However there is just one problem.

There's a guy who I work with on my department and he is an absoloute knob. He's in around late 30's and really pisses me off. Steve his name, he works there full time....

He always trys to bring me down and makes comments about my work. Saying it's poor and a load of crap. Another colleague informed me he referred to me as a "Shithead" the other day. A few colleagues tell me he's been talking to them about myself. I've even heard him refer to my work once as "Useless". I responded by saying "If it's that bad why don't you do it then".

The shithouse he is, hasn't got the balls to personally call me names to my face, If he ever tried that I would give him a load of abuse back.

He always gives me dirty looks and never speaks to me unless he wants to say something negative.

I'm not hot-headed by any means but I can picture myself lashing out one day at him when I've had enough. One thing that could happen is there are no CCTV in the back of the store and If we are around each other and he says anything it could get nasty.

All colleagues have to complete 12 weeks before they are offered a contract, my 12 week period finishes next week (I've been offered a contract). When it's up I'm really thinking about asking the boss to move me department.

I'm just wondering people, put yourselves in my shoes and what would you do ? Just ignore him ?

Been there plenty of times when i was a bit younger.This nob at work will most likely have no social life,no girlfriend,and no prospects in his life!!Just think about it bud,he's the one who's weak because he's the one who is showing all the signs of frustration and feels great thinking he can chew people younger than him.Dont take it too harsh and just laugh it off!You know,i know and the other people who work along side him know that he's a nob.Just do what your payed to do mate and if you get too pissed off by him it'll be worth while gannin on the bag when you finish work and let off some steam!Plus dont let work drag you down.Always remember that work is only part of life so dont class as life is all about work work work!

He's not even worth hitting mate,believe me.If anything he might want you to kick off so he can get bonus points built up in his mind.Dont give him the satifaction bud!

Get yourself out with your mates or go for work out on the bag or a jog!It helped for me when i was younger!
