Tony has always been like that....Tells it like it is...Hell after the Williams loss he stated that he knew it was because of his poor start and taking too long to get into the fight....Even mentioned that he also should have been more productive in the Clottey fight

He also said that will never happen again...And look what he has done since
Since then he's ducked his chance for revenge against williams for a fight with mosely for less than HALF the money he'da made against williams.
Here is my response to that post (not that I'm not admitting he didn't duck him):

As recently as two years ago, the top of the welterweight division wanted nothing to do with Margarito. Shane didn't want to fight Margarito; PBF didn't want to fight Margarito. Finally, Margarito is on top of the division. Now, Margarito can pick who he fights. He will fight a lucrative fight with Shane in which he'll probably pulverize the smaller, older Shane. Cotto will definitely beat Jennings (Jennings, a relatively obscure fighter from Great Britain will not beat Cotto in Puerto Rico). Then, Margarito has a highly lucrative rematch with Cotto. Hypothetically, let's say Margarito fought Williams now and lost. The rematch with Cotto would lose some of its steam and/or not pay as well. Moreover, any chance of fighting ODLH flies right out the window. Clearly, ODLH will use any excuse possible to avoid Margarito.

By way of comparison, it would be making the same mistake Pavlik made in taking the Hopkins fight. With the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, Pavlik should not have fought Hopkins. Pavlik should have been patient, and hoped for a more lucrative showdown with Calzaghe. Thus, the better business plan is to hope Margarito beats Shane and Cotto and then fight ODLH for a ton of money or fight the bigger name between two tougher challenges in Clottey or Williams.

To argue that Margarito is scared of Williams is completely absurd. Thus far, he has been the only top welterweight willing to get in the ring with Williams!
