God knows I'd love to see him beat De La Hoya, Oscar is a bit too much of a media-man for my tastes, but I just can't see it happening.

If I had to put money down on an outcome, I'd say DLH starts out cautiously, making sure Pac can't hurt him with anything he throws. When he's satisfied of that, he'll realize that he has to win the fight big... 'cause some of us fight fans think he's a coward going after smaller fighters. And since Pacquiao isn't one to back up or fight on the defensive, he would mix it up with Oscar. And somewhere around the 7th to 9th round, Pac would throw a right jab and leave himself open for a left hook from Oscar. And that would be the beginning of his downfall. Oscar could foreseeably KO Pacquiao in the later rounds, to avoid a wimpy decision win.

Needless to say, however... I would be happy to lose a bet like that.

I like them both so this would be a better scene if this happens.They both landed left hooks at the same time.Oscar to the head and Pac to the liver.Pac was out of balance and went down 1st.As the ref turned his back Oscar takes a knee.he broke a rib.then as the count finishes and Pac back on his feet.Oscar is still on a knee.a bit of confusion by the ref if he should count or immediately declare Pac as the winner.He approaches Oscar and asks him if he can continue.Oscar then heard the 10sec signal.It was the 12th round.Oscar awkwardly rose from his knees to finished the fight as the bell sounded right before Pac unleashes another flurry.Oscar wobbles and the ref separated them a bit late because the crowd was so loud he did not hear the bell.Oscar won 115-113.with the 12th round being scored 10-8 for him.

this forum is gonna go bananas! lots of issues.whether the ref should have stopped the fight when it's clear Oscar is injured and can't continue with less than 20 seconds to go.
