Im twisted on this,regardless of how it may come across on the other OJ thread,Im not an OJ supporter.
I strongly suspect that he had something to do with the death of his ex-wife.
But be that as it may, he was acquitted,and this is an obvious payback sentance.
I bet you dollars to doughnuts this gets tossed on appeal,while the rule of law doesnt allways give you the results you wanted,you cant re-write them after the fact. If there isnt law,there is chaos. This sentancing is a leaning toward vigilante justice,and that way leads to chaos.
But at the same time,I dont like being in the position of having to defend the rights of a wife beater. But if we dont defend the rights of scum balls,they might not be available for us if we're mistankenly charged.
