It is one of those conspiracy theories that many will ponder for a while.
It's not just water than contributes to being weight-drained.

Muscle glycogen levels are very important and they need to be maximum come fight night. In-fact some form of carb-loading should take place in order for him to super-saturate his muscles with glycogen.

The fact that he only added 2lbs suggest to me that he didn't consume anywhere enough carbohydrates between the weigh in and fight night.

i believe the medical side of your explanation... well simply because i dont understand half of it. ehehhe

but the question is why didnt he consumed the carb, water and whatever nutrients his body needs to get his body prepared for a beating i mean the fight?

normal people gains about a pound after eating heavily not so different from dlh. he has about four meals from the final weigh to the fight. so to me that suggests that dlh wasnt affected by his weight or diet. he didnt looked malnourished at all they assumed that it was the optimum weight for dlh to be in. i mean why would dlh even think of bulking up if we all know that it will only slow him down?
Only Oscar and his team no the answer to that. Maybe he wasn't well or maybe they we're under-prepared. Did he have a nutritionaist with him?

I honestly thought he looked ill. Like he hadn't eaten for a while. He looked weak and drawn.

I don't think it was anywhere near his optimum weight. Surely if this was the case he would have fought Steve Forbes at welter or Mayweather at welter. The fact that he hasn't been at welter since 2001 suggest it's not his optmimal weight.

Bulking up will only slow you down if you don't have the frame to support the added muscle. See Manny for example. Fast as ever because he has the frame to support the weight.

If you mean bulking up in the sense of eating a lot between the weigh in and fight, then again it wouldn't slow you down. You'd be consuming carbohydrate which be stored in your muscles as glycogen....where it is ready to be used as energy. It wouldn't be making him sluggish or anything of the sort. It would simply give him enough fuel for him to perform at his best for 12 rounds. He clearly got nowhere near his best.

Like i say 2lbs between weigh in and fight suggest he messed up. God knows why.

I will say that i was watching 24/7 last week and he had done 12 rounds sparring and he weighed himself afterwards and he was still 147 (i think) He claimed he lost 8lbs sparring so even at a severely dehydrated state he was only just at the limit. He looked in good condition in the sense he had minimal bodyfat. So what did he lose that made him drop from 155 to 145?

i dont know man im lost too....

i think im the only one who wasnt surprised about dlh weight. i said it a few days ago that he will not bulk up simply because it will slow him down. thats why he started to lose the extra weight 2 months prior the fight so he will get accustomed to that weight. well pac is a gifted boxer he is lucky to keep his speed at a heavier weight.

he knows that pac might carry his speed at 145 we all know too that dlh is old and is slower. dlh has the frame to support the weight too but he didnt bulked up cause it will slow him down.

or maybe he wasnt really at 147 that would count for the missing lbs in the official weighing scale?

Muscle only slows you down when you reach a point where you are carrying too much to remain flexible. This isn't the case with Oscar. Maybe they thought it would be, mainly because people seem to wrongly presume that muscle slows you down. I really don't know what they were thinking. IMO they messed up big time.
