    I've cheated death myself.
    Really an eye opener...

Once in a car the other when I had a gun pointed at my stomach.

I've had several of those myself, unfortunately nearly all of them were a result of my own stupidity.

I typed one of them out, but I deleted it because I didn't want to hijack Scrap's thread.

Interesting topic cheating death, my first time was 17 well the first I can remember. Lucky I had an experianced mountainer with me, we were Ice climbing in the Lakes a place called Great End. We got there looked up, there were four parties already on the climb called South East gully about 1200 ft the climb. Brian my mate said I dont fancy that to many people on it so we did Central Gully. After finnishing it we came back down to do hopefully do the SE Gully, and were met by the Mountain Rescue and by the RAF rescue team. The Gully had Avalanched killing 8 people, the biggest Mountain disaster in British history, Fucking Hell.

It's amazing how much a change a slight twist of chance can effect.

I think you would write a very good book Scap. You've got an excellent way of analysing things.

    I'd read it
What are you writing your thesis on?
Hey CFH, thanks for all the well wishes in my abscence.

I'm writing my thesis on "The new GCCC Public Works Contract and it's efect on Cost Control in Civil Engineering."
    Exciting stuff

Sounds like one of those dull topics which has direct application to the working world; something which will end up getting you a great job. How's the boxing going? I saw those vids you posted of a fight from a while back.

I'm up to my neck in essays at the moment myself. I have 60+ pages due in the next week .
